Emergency Relief for Iran
An Art Fundraiser
Organized by Azadeh Elmizadeh & Arman Azar
Since the start of the ongoing war in Iran, many people have been deeply affected, losing homes, jobs, and access to basic daily needs including essential medication. Among the most vulnerable are underprivileged children and students whose access to food, education, and basic care has been further disrupted.
In response, we are organizing a fundraising auction, bringing together Iranian artists living in Canada in a collective effort to support those in need through art. The auction will take place entirely online. For those in Toronto, there will be an opportunity to view the works in person at the plumb during the preview dates listed .
100% of all proceeds will be donated to Paradise Charity Group, a charity supporting underprivileged children and students.
Special thanks to our participating artists. We are grateful to the plumb team for generously hosting the works during the preview weekend.
How to bid:
Bidding period starts Monday, April 6 at 8:00am EST, with works being posted collaboratively between @f.a_ir and @the_plumb instagram accounts.
Bidding closes Wednesday, April 8 at 8:00pm EST.
Place a bid by writing your name and bid amount in the comments section below (preferred). Bids are accepted when @f.a_ir “like” the bid comment. Be sure to refresh your screen in order to check the latest comments for the current bid.
If you wish to remain anonymous you can DM us / email us at info@theplumb.ca and we will confirm the bid being posted. Parties submitting their bid by proxy are responsible for checking the latest comments for the current bid.
No sniping policy in effect: If two or more parties begin bidding back and forth on an artwork in the last five minutes of a bidding period, the plumb will extend the bidding time for the parties involved until a single bid stands for five minutes.
All bids are reflected in CAD and the final checkout will be processed in CAD plus HST. Payment must be made by e-transfer. As a courtesy to the artists and those involved at the plumb, the winning bid will have 24 hours upon issuance of an invoice to remit full payment if necessary. Failure to send payment will result in the artwork going to the next highest bidder. Winning bid excludes shipping/delivery if needed. You can contact us at info@theplumb.ca or through instagram @the_plumb to inquire about the cost of shipping/delivery for a particular piece. Arrangements to collect sold work can be made at the plumb after payment has been completed.
